AK Game Vault works on your device without an account. Cloud sync is optional, private to your account, and can be deleted whenever you choose.
Your owned games, wishlist, Top 20s, notes, private ratings, play-diary entries and game details stay in this browser unless you sign in. When cloud sync is active, that vault is stored with your account so it can appear on your other devices.
Your email address is used to sign in and send verification or password-reset emails. A display name and profile photo are optional, private by default, and stored only with your account.
Personal game-cover images remain on the device where you added them and are included only when you download a backup. Signed-in users can optionally select a cover from our game-cover provider; only the selected cover reference is stored with the account, not a copy of the image. Profile photos are stored with your account so your profile looks the same on your signed-in devices.
We use browser storage to keep your local vault and a secure, essential session cookie to keep you signed in. AK Game Vault does not use advertising cookies or sell your collection data.
If you choose “Allow anonymous analytics”, AK Game Vault uses Google Analytics to understand broad route categories and general journeys, such as whether visitors open Explore, My Library, My Top 20 or My Vault, finish onboarding, open an account screen, browse consoles, download a backup or open the feedback email link. It also sends a short-lived, random browser-session signal so the site owner can see an aggregate count of consented browsers active in the last few minutes. It does not send your email address, account ID, profile, collection, game titles, notes, ratings, diary entries, share links or backup data. Advertising, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. You can change this choice at any time through Privacy settings in the app footer.
To protect sign-in, account-email and cover-search tools from automated misuse, we temporarily store one-way request fingerprints and attempt counts. They are not linked to your account or collection, contain no readable IP address, and are automatically removed after a short retention period.
You can download a backup from the header at any time. From Account, you can sign out or permanently delete your account and cloud vault. Deleting an account removes its cloud-synced collection, Top 20s, profile details, sessions and verification/reset tokens. Clearing website data, resetting a device or deleting the installed app can remove local-only data, so export a backup before changing devices.
